An ItemSpecification consists of one or more components, depending on the type of product being described. Each component encapsulates specific aspects of the item, ensuring that every detail is meticulously defined.

Structure of an ItemSpecification

Copies
- Field Name: copies

- Description: Specifies the number of copies to be printed.
- Example: 100
Product ID/Type
- Field Name: product
- Type: String
- Description: Identifies the type of product to be printed.
- Example: "BROCHURES"
Components
- Field Name: components

- Description: A list of components that make up the item. Each component describes a specific part of the product, such as the cover or internal pages.

Component Object Structure

Format

- Description: Defines the din size of the item. This is an important field, a lot of the pricing calculations and impositions require this field and it must be correct.

Standard Size

- Description: Indicates if the component uses a standard size (e.g., non DIN size such as US Letter). If you need just a DIN size then this field should be set NONE. You must specifiy the format (DIN) size correctly when using a StandardSize. The product metadata will provide a list of the correct values to use for each size

- Description: Specifies the layout orientation of the component (e.g., PORTRAIT).
Colours

Substrate
